Short, sad post: we shut down onFabric.

Massimo and I started working on context portability in 2024 at Entrepreneurs First.

  • Over this time, we worked with forward thinking customers and partners helping them use personal data to improve consumer experiences.
  • There were many firsts including being the first developer globally to integrate data portability APIs made available under the Digital Markets Act.
  • We also raised $3M in our pre-seed from extremely supportive investors and ran all the experiments we could think of.

Ultimately, none of those found product market fit and it was time to move on.

A huge thanks to everyone who helped us along the way (you know who you are)! I'll write a longer note with my learnings after sitting with them for a bit.
