I spent $375 in one hour on Anthropic's Fable 5 (equivalent to $1.35 million annual spend)!

The full task used 201 million tokens to create a working prototype of an idea by:

  • Creating a full user experience
  • Setting up multiple external integrations (e.g. Plaid)
  • Creating and seeding a knowledge system in Convex
  • Building hybrid search with turbopuffer
  • Running end to end testing in the browser
  • Deploying on Railway

Pretty awesome but at $375 for the task at API pricing (kicking in from June 23rd), I don't think I will be using it for 12 hours a day.

If you use Fable 5 full time (working 9-9-6 for 50 weeks per year), to break even, you would have to generate $1.35 million in revenue ($1.5 million if you are paid $150K).

To operate at 50% margins, a human working full time with Fable 5 should generate $3 million per year.
